November marks the one year anniversary at Stems for me and I really don’t know where the time has gone! The shop is so busy day to day that sometimes it is important to step back and reflect on what we have achieved.
For me, one of my most significant achievements this year has been to complete our re-branding. You will have probably noticed our new logo and shop signs, two new vans and the new website which I hope will give everybody an insight into what we are all about. Our next step is to re-furbish the shop after Christmas to finalise the new look.
Our busy wedding season has just started to slow and with over 60 weddings this year already, we have certainly been kept on our toes. We are looking forward to the winter season which allows us to use a rich and often slightly bolder colour palette of tones and textures and will be updating our gallery with new images as we get them. Looking ahead to next year we have already taken a large number of bookings for 2017 so if you, or anyone you know, is looking for a wedding florist for next year get in touch via our wedding enquiries page to book a consultation to discuss your requirements.
With the evenings drawing in and the weather turning cold, we are getting ready for another busy festive season. We have lots on offer in the run up to Christmas. A few key dates for your diary:
23rd November 2016, 4-8pm – Christmas Preview Evening
We will be holding our Christmas Preview Evening on Wednesday 23rd November from 4pm - 8pm. Come along and enjoy a relaxed browse round the shop and see all our exciting new stock just in from Holland - lots of homeware and gifts to inspire you for Christmas. We will be offering a 10% discount on all pre-ordered fresh Christmas garlands, table decoration and wreaths…so come along and join us for a mince pie!
5th and 6th December 2016, 7.30pm at the Lintot Pub, Southwater. £40 per person - Christmas Wreath workshops
Kate will be running two workshops this year for you to learn how to make your own traditional door wreath. Why not come along with friends or family for a festive night out and be the envy of your neighbours with your own bespoke creation.
We are also looking for a part-time florist to join our creative team for 2017. If you think you have the skills and flair to join us, please email your CV and a brief covering letter to firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to hearing from you.
